Hamilton Downtown YMCA Renovations

This renovation project provided improved accessibility, amenity and gender equity to one of the oldest YMCA’s in the country. In addition to improved facilities for children, families and special needs users, a significant investment was made to improve change room accommodations for adult women.

The design created a spa-like atmosphere with a sunken whirlpool tub, privacy shower enclosures, steam room, cloistered locker areas and numerous grooming stations. Natural earth-tone colours combined with YMCA symbols provided a relaxing comfortable atmosphere subtly infused with membership values.
