This new 4,040 m2 facility includes a leisure pool, a lap pool, gymnasium, conditioning areas, multi-purpose rooms and child care centre. Five different types of change rooms provide choice of amenity for all ages, special needs, families and adults. The design includes steam rooms and a sauna.
Spaces are arranged to maximize the efficient use of floor area with the pools situated as the main visual focus of the building. The pools provide a variety of opportunities for fitness, teaching and therapy and relaxation with barrier-free and friendly accessibility features. Brightly lit, the extensive use of interconnected floor spaces provides views out into the surrounding community and countryside.
The site design includes an outdoor play area associated with the child care centre featuring many barrier-free design elements and shading devices.
