Juravinski Cancer Centre Chemotherapy & Pharmacy Renovations

The project renovated the 3,950 ft2 existing space on Level 2 within both the Outpatient Chemotherapy and Oncology Pharmacy Units. The renovations included a second Chemotherapy Clean Room, a New Ante Room, the installation of an oncology dispensing robot, a new nurses station, along with improved storage and workflow.

The project was complex requiring decanting, complex hoarding, and restricted hours in order to maintain use of the chemotherapy beds/recliners during renovations. The CSA Standards for Infection Control CSA Z317 were incorporated. Standard USP 797 was also followed to complete the design of the Clean Rooms. The project completed construction in August 2014.
